My Current Night Time Skin Care Routine- July 2020

Today I am going to be writing something a little different, I am going to be sharing my current night time skin care routine! Please not I am not a skin specialist or professional by any means, I am just sharing the current products I use with a little review on how I feel about them. At this moment in time my skin is awful and probably won’t get better for a while due to having to wear a mask at work and my face not being able to breathe. I really believe we should be looking after our skin and I am looking to improve my routine as it’s probably not the best, but for now, this is it:

To start off my nighttime skin care routine I cleanse my face with the Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Water. I haven’t been wearing as much makeup recently, due to the weather being hot and having to wear a mask when I am at work. So instead of using a cleansing balm, I normally would for heavy makeup, I have been using this micellar water. I really don’t have much to say its just a standard cleansing water, does the job of cleansing your skin of light makeup and sunscreen etc. There are probably better ones out there, that are more beneficial for your skin but for now this is fine for me! At the moment it’s around £4.75 for a 700ml bottle which is very affordable!

My rating- 7/10

I then use the LOreal Paris Fine Flowers Toner for dry and sensitive skin. To be honest my skin is usually normal with the odd dry spell here and there but the past month or two I have been getting quite oily so I need to find a toner for oily skin. This product is quite heavily scented so avoid if you dislike that! I find this again does the job of toning my face fine and the I really enjoy the gel-like consistency. However, sometimes I find this burns my skin, I am not sure why this happens but its not pleasant. I am on the look out for a new toner but will try and use this up. £5.99 for 400ml is alright for a drugstore toner.

My Rating- 6/10

I actually use this product along side my moisturiser but for the purpose of this post I will talk about it first. This is the NIP+FAB Exfoliate Glycolic Fix Radiance Shot. I haven’t been using this for long but I mix it in with my moisturiser at night and my skin feels super hydrated, clean and just nice in general! I am going to carry on using this and hope to see the effects soon. This product is £19.95 it is on the pricey side however I am really liking it and at the moment I am going to repurchase when I run out.

My Rating- 8/10

Here we have my night time moisturiser! It is the LOreal Paris Triple Active Night. Unfortunately I can’t say I see it does much, feels nice on the skin, fairly moisturising. I just haven’t really seen any changes in my skin from this alone. In all fairness I only picked this up about 3 weeks ago, I haven’t given it long enough. I do like it, I will probably just try out other moisturisers when this is all gone. At the moment you can get 50ml for £4 which is a very good price for a moisturiser!

Lastly here we have the product I use to take off my makeup and tone etc. I don’t like to use cotton wool pads as I think they end up making so much waste. So when my GlossyBox turned up a month or two ago with these reusable makeup removing cloths I was over the moon! These are The Vintage Cosmetic Company Make-Up Removing Cloths Leopard Print. For £9.99 you get 3 and I really believe they are worth it, you can choose this pattern or there are some others. These are easily washable in the machine at 30 degrees and I just love them.

My Rating- 8/10
